Description
NO 27: Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan house. Painted ashlar to front with tooled finish, snecked rubble stone to sides and rear, ashlar dressings, architraved margins, quoin strips.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Central pilastered and corniced doorpiece, rectangular fanlight, deep set panelled door with inner steps, window above, bays flanking with windows at ground and 1st floors to match.
S ELEVATION: gable end with No 25 attached at ground floor.
N ELEVATION: gable end with No 29 attached at ground floor.
W ELEVATION: 3 bay, symmetrical. Central entrance door with plain surround, large window above. Bays flanking with matching windows at ground and 1st floors, plain margins.
NO 25: Single storey gabled ended building, rubble stone, ashlar margins.
E ELEVATION: central door, window to right, garage door to left.
S ELEVATION: blank gbale end.
W ELEVATION: central door, 2 window to left, 1 window to right. Property part of No 27.
8-pane timber sash windows to No 27. 12-pane to E elevation of No 25. Grey slate, skews, ashlar gable-head stacks. No 27 re-roofed, machine tiles.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.
BOUNDARY WALL: rubble stone boundary wall with coping to S.
