Robertson Paterson & Son, 1884. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan Baronial style villa with 3-storey tower bay and service wing. Squarted and snecked rubble; lightly stugged ashlar E elevation with polished dressings. Architraved window surrounds; projecting eaves.

E (ENTRANCE ELEVATION: central 3-storey tower bay; round-arched and pilastered tribpartite doorpiece with keystone, carved consoles, impost cornice, and incised paterae; deep-set panelled door; plate glass fanlight; tripartite window above flanked by corniced dies(probably originally flanking window guard or small balcony); 2 small stone brackets (for similar purpose) at 3rd floor; gabled and finialled round-arched tripartite window breaking eaves above; timber bracketed grey slate pyramidal roof with elad flashing, decorative finial, single can circular stack, and double can stack. Full-height canted window flanking to outer right with dividing cornice, carved apron to 1st floor window, carved apron to 1st floor window, and breaking eaves in timber brtacketed thistle finialled roof. Single storey canted window to outer left with lead canopy; finialled tripartite window above breaking eaves in steeply gabled dormerheads.N ELEVATION: blank except for 2 stone bargeboard brackets and fire escape.

S ELEVATION: single window at 1st floor; 2 stone bargeboard brackets.

W ELEVATION: low 2-storey L-plan service wing to outer left; advanced stair bay at centre with round-arched painted glass window; bipartite windows flanking to right and left at 1st floor; bipartite window to outer right at ground floor; single storey conservatory (1986).

Plate glass sash and case windows at E elevation; mixture of 3-pane sash and case elsewhere. Grey slate roof; tripartite dormer window to W; rounded wallhead stacks to W, N and S; octagonal moulded cans.

INTERIOR: partially seen 1990. Glass panelled vestibule door; encaustic tiles; decorative plaster cornices; turned wooden balustrade; carved head-shaped consoles.

Low coped rubble boundary wall to street; mutual boundary wall approximately 2m high.
