Description
Mid Victorian with later additions. Original building snecked
rubble 2-storey L-plan fronted with advanced gable to left
having canted bay through both floors, 2-storey later
addition to W, ground floor tripartite of very shallow
projection with single light gabled window above on S front,
3-window W front, with gable and gablet, bracketted eaves.
Additions probably by William Leiper 1905/6,
semi-elliptically arched entrance porch dated 1905 set in
finely moulded architrave, bipartite semi-elliptically arched
fanlight over, semi-circular gable with ball finial: 2
crenellated single-storey bay sections on W. front, S.
rectangular added to original W addition,
N canted at new single-storey N wing,
patterned lead-paned fenestration, shouldered splayed and
moulded mullion and transom openings. Sundial at S bay dated
1906, small circular turret at rear, harled, half-timber
ball-finialled slated conical roof. Lower 2-storey wing on E
front, rubble-built, slightly shouldered and chamfered
openings. Slated, gambrel roof. Lean to glass-roofed verandah
on S front, conservatory on E.
