Description

Main part irregular 3-storey classic built 1820-26.

7 window centre portion with 2-window section beyond on

W. and 1-window on E. (latter added 1825-26 both

slightly advanced. R-doric porch added c. 1860 replacing

original horseshoe staircase and R-doric columns at 1st

floor. Stuccoed, 1st floor windows architraved. N.W. wing

2-storey 3-window harled with margins 17th and 18th cent.

in present form but incorporating lower masonry of

earlier date (first house here c.1490). Splendid

Renaissance panel of c.1630-40 at 2nd floor.
