Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay corner house with

basement, and formerly with shop. Stugged red ashlar, with

polished dressings. South west angle canted at ground, with

blocked shop door, corbelled to square above. 3-bay (south)

elevation to main street has central door (approached by

steps) in corniced stone-slab porch; basement openings to

right, ground floor window to left an alteration. Windows all

sashes with 4-pane glazing; straight skews at west; corniced

end stacks; roofed with graded slates. Tall archway adjoining

northwest angle (stugged pink ashlar) presumably associated

with former inn, adjoining.
